30th of January 2013: School day of Non-violence and Peace

  
The "School Day of Non-violence and Peace" (DENIP), founded in 1964 and also known as World or International Day of Non-violence and Peace, is a pioneering, non-state, non-governmental, non-official, independent, free and voluntary initiative of Non-violent and Pacifying Education, which is now practised in schools all over the world and in which centres of education, teachers and students of all levels and from all countries are invited to take part.

Its basic message is: 

"Universal Love, Non-violence and Peace. Universal Love is better than egoism,  Non-violence is better than violence, amd Peace is better than war".

It is observed on January 30 or thereabouts every year, on the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi. In countries with a Southern Hemisphere school calendar, it can be observed on March 30 or thereabouts.

World Teacher's DAy 5th October

World Teachers’ Day, held annually on October 5th since 1994 - when it was created by UNESCO - celebrates teachers worldwide.

Its aim is to mobilise support for teachers and to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.

¡Bienvenidos al curso 2012-2013!

 ¡Hola a todos!

 

Las vacaciones ya han terminado y comienza un nuevo curso. La playa se quedó atrás, pero ahora es el momento de reencontrarse con los amigos y compañeros, con los profesores y con vuestras asignaturas favoritas. Por mi parte, me gustaría que Ciencias Sociales fuera de vuestras preferidas, y si no es así espero que cambiéis de opinión a lo largo de este año.

 

Trabajaremos juntos en el aula, pero para hacer que esta asignatura esté con vosotros dentro y fuera del instituto he creado este blog que os ayudará a tener la información sobre todo lo que vayamos viendo en clase (actividades, trabajos, enlaces, vídeos, etc)

Espero que este espacio ponga su granito de arena para disfrutéis de las Ciencias Sociales ahora y siempre.
